1985
The Beginning - OmKiran Group

The story of the Om Kiran Group begins in the year 1985, with a man of quiet resolve and sharp vision — Mr. B.K. Mittal. In a modest office at 101, Jain Bhavan, WEA Karol Bagh, he laid the foundation of a practice that would one day grow into a multi-faceted enterprise. As a Chartered Accountant, he was more than just a numbers man — he was a trusted advisor to struggling businesses, helping revive sick units and mobilizing capital at a time when venture capital was virtually unheard of in India.

1986
SM Management Consultants

In 1986, his entrepreneurial spirit took a new shape with the acquisition of SM Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd., venturing into the realm of share registry and transfer services. This move broadened his horizons and marked the beginning of an evolving business journey.

1996
Risk. Revival. Reward.

A decade later, in 1996, opportunity and courage met when Mr. Mittal acquired a sick industrial unit, Rama Galva Steels. This decision, made against the grain, became a pivotal moment in our story. What seemed like a gamble at the time turned into a stepping stone toward industrial excellence.

2000
First Success: Coke

By 2000 a milestone was achieved — Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages became our very first client. This marked the genesis of what would later evolve into the Om Kiran Group, setting in motion a 25-year-long journey of enterprise, excellence, and expansion.

2003
Owning the Supply Chain

The next generation of leadership emerged in 2003, when Mr. Amit Mittal, armed with both academic prowess and entrepreneurial grit, expanded the family’s footprint into Food & Beverage distribution. Once again, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages entrusted us, this time in the domain of distribution across Delhi NCR.

2005
Venturing Out

In 2005, our growing success inspired us to invest in real estate, leading to the acquisition of our first commercial property at A-10, Sector-19, Noida. Our entry into Commercial Real Estate was marked by none other than State Bank of India becoming our first tenant.

2010
Formalising the Group

The warehousing vertical started taking shape in 2010, beginning with a modest 20,000 sq. ft. facility, our warehousing footprint had now reached a colossal 1,50,000 sq. ft.. The same year marked a significant milestone with the launch of our first Grade A warehouse, inaugurated by Mr. Rudi Matthews and Mr. Phillamon Matthews. 

2011
New Acquisitions

In 2011, we accelerated our logistics ambitions, initiating the development of Block B at Om Kiran Logistics Park, Jindal Nagar, and acquiring new farmland in Galand village, sowing the seeds for future expansion.

2012
Foraying into Estates

2012 was marked by an acquisition close to the heart — a serene plot in Sector 135, which today houses the beautiful Junaverra, a name that carries both emotion and legacy.

2013
Quarter Million Warehousing Capacity

By 2013, our warehousing capacity touched 2,50,000 sq. ft., and we began building large-scale industrial-grade structures with base heights of 9 meters and beam heights of 12 meters — a clear indicator of our commitment to scale and quality.

2016
Indian Roots, International Vision

In 2016, drawing upon years of experience in F&B and finance, Mr. Amit Mittal laid the cornerstone of our International Consulting venture, establishing Route2Market — a firm that would go on to advise global brands entering India. Along with this Mr. Amit Mittal commenced Right Warehousing LLP in partnership with Mr. Varghese Matthews.

2020
Success Embodied

The year 2020 saw the culmination of decades of learning and innovation — we developed our largest and most technologically advanced warehouse yet, spanning 1,00,000 sq. ft., taking our cumulative storage capacity to over 5,00,000 sq. ft. within our logistics park.

Today

And in 2025, we brought all our diverse verticals under a single unified identity — Om Kiran Group. This was not just a rebranding — it was a reaffirmation of the values we stand for: legacy, trust, excellence, and innovation.

Mr. B.K. Mittal, one of India’s youngest CAs in 1964, combined financial acumen with entrepreneurial vision to form the Om Kiran Group. His bold acquisition of a defunct galvanisation plant sparked a legacy built on integrity, resilience, and progress.
Amit Mittal
Mr. Amit Mittal, Founder and Director of Route2Market™, is a Chartered Accountant and expert in supply chain, logistics, and market entry strategy. He leads a platform that helps global brands establish in India with full backend support. A recognized thought leader, he regularly speaks at top industry forums, advocating for innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in logistics.
Veenayak Mittal
Mr. Veenayak Mittal, a fourth-generation entrepreneur, blends legacy with a forward-looking global vision. Educated at Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Delhi University, he began his career in International Trade Law at S.S. Kothari Mehta & Co. LLP, gaining deep expertise in global trade and compliance. With roots in the Om Kiran legacy, Veenayak aspires to build a values-driven international conglomerate that champions innovation, ethics, and impact.
